What is Wabi-Sabi?

Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic. It is difficult to explain it in words, one has to comprehend and feel it. However, in general, Wabi-Sabi can be understood as an aesthetic philosophy centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection.

Nothing is permanent, nothing is finished, and nothing is perfect. These are the three truths of the Japanese concept Wabi-Sabi. If we combine these three truths, it will form a belief that imperfection creates individuality, and individuality adds value. Wabi-Sabi can be found in photography, philosophy, architecture and art.
