Wabi-Sabi as a way of living

'Essential knowledge can be only transferred only from mind to mind and not through words. Those who know don’t say; those who say don’t know.' Leonard Koren

I am a strong believer in everything is one thing. Therefore, although Wabi-Sabi can be found in many philosophies such as Buddhism, Taoism…, these philosophies somehow relate to each other and reflect the same message. Wabi-Sabi cannot be fully explained in words. Language seems to limit the functionality of Wabi-Sabi. However, there is one thing that I believe we all have been through as human beings. It is the pain.

Accepting and embracing our pain is not an easy act. In fact, it takes a lot of courage to do so. I am nowhere near a philosopher to explain to you Wabi-Sabi in philosophy. But as a human being, I think I can explain that Wabi-Sabi is something we all have experienced. It is the moment of knowing, understanding, and accepting the hardship, the pain, and the imperfection in our life. From the stumbles, hurts, and setbacks we have to go through to the scars that follow us throughout our lives, but if we can heal it, paint it out of grief, cracks, those scars are one of the things that make us perfect and stronger than before. Especially during this time, we all go through some hardship whether physically or emotionally. So I just want to dedicate this moment to all of us. Let's just play this one short song while looking at this sunrise. Though the moment is short, I am sure we will find some perfectly imperfect in it.
